Thomas McInerny, M.D., Primary Care Pediatrician and Associate Chair for Clinical Affairs

Thomas McInerny, M.D., has been Associate Chair for Clinical Affairs at the University of Rochester Medical Center and Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong since 1998; he joined the Board at that time.

McInerny has been a primary care pediatrician in Rochester for over 35 years and serves on several committees for the American Academy of Pediatrics striving to improve the lives of children in our community as well as for children throughout the United States. He was very instrumental in the planning phase of the new PICU, Ronald McDonald House within the Hospital, the Pediatric Surgical Suite, as well as in the development and implementation of the strategic plan for the Department of Pediatrics and Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong.

McInerny lives in Honeoye Falls with his wife, Beverly.  They enjoy traveling, gardening, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
