Follow the Mark Daniel Siewert Trail of kites, and you'll find yourself in the children's hospital's newest space: the Pediatric Surgical Suite.
Kites, available for purchase, soar in honor of donors who have made the dream a reality. Local artist Paul Knoblauch uses metal and stainless steel to create the pieces.

Nurses have new equipment to help monitor their patients as they recovery in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. (Notice the kite theme, which carries through inside and out!)

The pre-operative area has separate spaces that afford privacy for families. Each space has a TV equipped with DVD and VHS players, so kids can watch their favorite movies while the staff readies them for their procedure.
